Ernest H. Robl: Vietnam (1969-70) Stock Photos

Approx. 1,200 color transparencies (35mm) 1969-1970: almost all from northern quarter of what was then South Vietnam up to and including border with North Vietnam. Few "combat" photos but wide variety of other subjects showing what the country looked like at that time, including graphic images of the effect of the war.

Photos from both in the air and on the ground show the great scenic beauty of the land; others juxtapose western technology with Asian society. Also: A variety of military equipment in use; U.S. and ARVN troops, military ceremonies, even the Bob Hope Christmas show.
