951300 A loaded BNSF coal train from the Powder River Basin of Wyoming snakes its way up Crawford Hill in far western Nebraska. Much of the BNSF coal traffic heading south and east out of the Powder River Basin has to cross this hill, a major obstacle for the heavy train. Helper locomotive sets based in the town of Crawford at the base of the hill help shove the heavy trains uphill.
