990833 An inbound empty coal train with a trio of GE AC44CW locomotives (two in front; a third in remote control mode at the rear of the train) rolls west through Lusk, Wyo., passing the town's landmark redwood railroad water tank. The track is a still active segment of the mostly abandoned ex-Chicago and North Western "Cowboy Line." A historic marker for the water trank is in the foreground. This route is Union Pacific's main feeder line into and out of the Powder River Basin.
