
930644 These wooden-sided cars represent the rolling stock of one of the first versions of Europe's famed Orient Express and of the rolling stock of the International Sleeeping Car Company (Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits et des Grands Express Europeens - CIWL, or simply Wagons-Lits), which for many years provided the consists of Europe's premier long-distance trains. The car in the foreground is a Wagons-Lits diner. In later years, Wagons-Lits adopted a dark blue and gold livery for its rolling stock. These beautifully restored cars are preserved under cover in the collection of the Dutch national railway museum in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
