981019 Operation Lifesaver is a joint railroad industry-law enforcement effort to reduce grade crossing and trespasser accidents on railroads. Staffed largely by volunteers, many of whom are railroad employees or law enforcement officers, Operation Lifesaver tries to get out its safety messages through a vareity of means, including key chains, hats, and bumper stickers. Operation Lifesaver staff or volunteers will provide safety presentations to groups on request.
