010514 Golden Spike National Historic Site, Promontory, Utah. Front of the Central Pacific locomotive "Jupiter," one of two replica locomotives used to re-enact the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad at the remote site on the north side of the Great Salt Lake. The site, administered by the National Park Service, features the steamed-up locomotives May-September. The Golden Spike ceremony took place on May 10, 1869.
