791555 Class 93 locomotive 93.1422 during switching maneuvers at Krems, Austria. These 2-8-2T locomotives survived until the end of revenue steam in the mid 1970s because of their versatility. Though having a low top speed because of its small drivers, it had good pulling power and operated equally well in either direction, making it ideal for severvice on non-electrified branch lines without engine turning facilities. Here the locomotive has been preserved for excursion train service.
