Generic / technical railroad stock photos

While some clients require images that depict specific railroads or even specific locations on a specific railroad, other illustrative uses of railroad stock photos, particularly in advertising, may require images that do not show an identifiable railroad logo or paint scheme, nor any easily identifiable location.

Some of these photos, like the introductory photo above, have areas where text can be superimposed. At the same time, many of these images also serve to illustrate technical aspects of railroad equipment and operations.

In addition to illustrating railroad concepts with generic images, another effective method of creating illustrations with either generic equipment or specially-lettered equipment is to use scale models. I have contacts with people capable of custom-painting and lettering models in any needed scheme. In addition, I can arrange to photograph these models on layouts with highly detailed scenery.

I'll be glad to discuss options for such photography. However, please keep in mind that such work takes time and cannot be done instantly.
