000500 Castle Falkenstein in the Tauern region of central Austria is one of the best-preserved classic medieval castles of Europe. One model railroad manufacturer even offers a scale model of this structure. The castle adjoins a main line of the Austrian Federal Railways and is seen from passing trains by thousands of travelers each year. Local trains on the line provide access at a small unmanned stop nearby.

The German model railroad accessory manufacturer Kibri has long offered a 1:87 (HO scale) model if this castle in kit form.
