The Euro is now the official currency of 12 European countries.

Coins minted in different countries have different images on the face side, but are all identical on the back.

Coins minted in any of the 12 countries that have adapted the Euro are, of course, equally valid in all of those countries.

These images are samples from a range of available stock photos featuring Euro coins.

020026 Euro coins, ranging from cents to two Euros. Under exchange rates in effect in early 2002, the value of the Euro was fluctuating around $0.90. Like the U.S. Dollar, the Euro is divided into 100 cents.

020031 Euro coins with Eurail ticket. The Eurail ticket is still one of the best ways to travel around Europe, provided the purchaser uses the ticket for rail travel during most of the days of its validity. Though often used only for travel between major cities, the Eurail ticket is equally valid on many scenic branchlines.
