Though a meeting of Union Pacific and Southern Pacific equipment may be commonplace now on this line that was acquired by Union Pacific when it absorbed Southern Pacific, this photo actually predates the merger and shows a UP run-through grain train meeting an SP coal train on what were then still SP tracks.
