040062 Bennett Place State Historic Site, Durham, N.C., after an early 2004 snowfall.
This restored farmhouse was the scene of a major surrender at the end of the U.S. Civil War. The site, which includes a small museum (not shown), offers glimpses into life in North Carolina in the mid 1800s.
I have made many photos at this site over many years, including all seasons, and during special events featuring historic reenactors.
