050372 Artificial stream and waterfall, American Tobacco Co. Campus, Durham, N.C. This onetime cigarette factory and warehouse complex has been converted into prime office and retail space, while keeping the exterior character of the historic buildings. However, considerable landscaping, such as this artificial stream with several waterfalls has substantially enhanced this former industrial site. As of early 2005, when this photo was made, several of the buildings were already occupied while interior work was continuing in others.

The modern Durham Centre building is visible in the background.
