060435 Gardens, Tryon Palace, New Bern, N.C.: View into the formal English gardens on the grounds on the seat of the first government of North Carolina, the Colonial governor. The original palace was destroyed by fire but rebuilt in the 1950s based on the existing foundation and the original plans. The gardens are also based on early historical records.
